Hyprland Dotfiles

ðŸŠĶ dormant hyprland dotfiles wayland

What is it?

My personal dotfiles for Arch Linux: a custom Hyprland setup with a clear Cyan color style. Full rice: Wofi menus, Waybar, Hyprlock, Fish + Starship, Kitty, LazyVim.

In my setup

This was my daily driver until I moved my workflow to NiriWM (see the niri-dotfiles project). Repo stays up as an archive, hence dormant.

Why did I build it?

Started ricing journey on Arch and obsessed with cyan style. Even though at that time I had a private i3wm dotfiles. LOL, I uses 2 tilling window manager at the time.

I was still an amateur at the time, hihiii.

What I learned

  • Hyprland Configuring: keybinds handler, autostart, hyprlock, and hyprpaper.
  • Shell Script: management/adjusdments .sh to (waybar and wofi) from elifouts and dln (wofi-emoji)
  • Some lesson about Hyprland: such as config error popup, waybar tooltip crashes hyprland, and something hyprland crash after update. Yeahh, debugging and fixing.

Why I moved to Niri?

because in Niri I can focus more on workflows, development and minimize breaking changes/problems when updating system (Window Manager). But this project aadnanmt/hyprland-dotfiles is already dormant.
